There are rules set by international Kennel Clubs for each dog breed. These rules apply to our friends' sizes, features, characters, etc. It offers many criteria on subjects.
In Turkey, in breed standards competitions and evaluation events organized by the Dog Breeds Federation more than once a year, many checks are carried out by local and foreign referees who have devoted their years to these breeds, in order to ensure the characteristics of the breed and to evaluate whether the continuation of breeding is healthy. Buying a dog from the pedigrees of dogs that have been evaluated in this way is primarily an indicator of the health and character of the dog, which should be evaluated as a living creature, apart from whether it is the best or not.
If dog breeding is done by so-called underhanded producers, serious problems may occur in terms of both character and health, and we are actually endangering the future generations of these beloved friends. After a while, unfortunately, our streets are filled with many abandoned dogs as a result of unreasonable illnesses, excessive health expenses, and inappropriate character behavior. A conscious breeder takes the first step in providing you with healthier puppies by examining the pedigrees of the mother and father before the birth of the puppies and by producing in accordance with the permitted criteria. After the mother dog becomes pregnant, regulating her eating habits and the food she eats, giving the necessary vaccinations and care to the puppies at the necessary times, feeding the puppies with food suitable for the puppies, these producers, who know the history and breed of the dog and have received permission for the production of this dog by the international FCI institution, will do much more for you. Providing pedigree dogs is both our duty towards the dogs we claim to love, as it produces puppies that are healthy, whose character is much closer to the standards of the breed, and that are generally of much higher quality. It is also a necessary method to obtain a better friend with whom we can walk a longer distance when adopting a dog ourselves.
